Adorable sports club

Overview

This kitten is one of my biggest sources of pride because it seems to be universally beloved by whoever encounters it. I’m certain that the fact that people only encounter it in Brooklyn (Kings County) has nothing to do with it (sarcasm!!). It was originally created as a design exercise but was later adopted by a friend’s running/cycling club.

Methods

The mascot was created in Illustrator. I referenced the mascots of various sports teams to introduce just a little bit of verisimilitude with elements like the bold outline and use of a very angry animal.
